At Mother Duck we pride ourselves on providing children from 6 weeks to school age with the tools and programs to become life long learners.

Young children learn by exploring, experimenting, creating and taking risks in an environment that is challenging, supportive and safe. At Mother Duck Childcare and Preschool Centres, each program is based on the importance of learning through play. This encourages problem solving and independence.

Our programs provide a balance of learning experiences that are appropriate to the changing needs, interests and abilities of each child. Each program is based on ongoing observations of children and is constantly monitored and evaluated to assess each child’s development. Babies

• Each day you will be provided with daily written reports detailing your child’s feeding, sleep and toileting patterns.
• We strive to maintain your child’s routine at home by requesting parents to provide their child’s daily routine.
• Staff provide consistent experiences to encourage basic first step skills in a safe learning environment including sitting, crawling and walking.
• Our centres have experienced, nurturing and caring staff.
• Mother Duck has strict hygiene procedures that are constantly monitored.

 

Toddlers

• Each day you will be provided with a written report detailing your child’s eating, sleep and toileting pattens as well as an outline of their day.
• Staff provide guidance and assistance with taking the first steps towards toilet training and during the toilet training process.
• Staff closely guide each toddlers new and developing skills in a positive yet structured environment.
• Documented learning programs to enhance each child’s social and emotional development in particular, friendships with peers.
• Documented learning programs to enhance each child’s language skills.

 

Little Kindy

• Play based learning experiences that enhance each child’s intellectual development

Kindy

• We nurture and support your child’s transition into the kindy rich learning environment.
• Detailed programs encourage early writing skills and letter recognition.
• Structured educational programs adjusted to each child’s developmental levels.
• Individual programs focused on achieving each child’s maximum potential.

Preschool

• We use the phonics program, LetterLand for all children to develop language and literacy skills.
• Individual programs focused on achieving each child’s maximum potential.
• Staff encourage self-help skills and school readiness skills throughout the day.
• Children are provided with constant monitoring of growing developmental skills in view of achieving school readiness.
